SterGen Shows 2D to 3D Video Conversion Workflow for Sports Production

Broadcast & Distribution -  SterGen takes a decidedly focused approach to 3D – they stick with 3D sports and optimize their solutions for that application.  That’s exactly what they did at IBC 2012 this year with demonstrations of their 2D to 3D video conversion technologies for the sports broadcasting market. 

3D Authoring Tools – UK-based The Pixel Farm Ltd used IBC 2012 to release PFDepth, a new, integrated toolset for total scene reconstruction, 2D to 3D conversion and depth map creation.  PFDepth makes it easy to build complex geometry, detailed per-pixel depth maps, and stereoscopic renders of any 2D scene.
